Apply directly over Under Tape and Rigid Tape to create a waterproof, breathable barrier. Tape Shield keeps tape secure through showers, sweating, swimming, and contact sport, where friction and moisture would otherwise lift the tape early. The acrylic adhesive minimises skin irritation on removal, and the transparent film is unobtrusive enough for daily wear under clothing.

Do I actually need Tape Shield, or will plastic wrap do the job?

Tape Shield is a transparent, breathable, medical-grade waterproof film designed to hold for up to 7 days. Plastic wrap is not breathable, traps sweat, and does not bond to the tape underneath.

How long does it actually stay on?

Applied correctly over Rigid and Under Tape, up to 7 days of normal activity including showering and light sweating. How long it lasts depends on skin type, activity level and how well the edges are sealed.

Can I shower and swim in it?

Yes. Tape Shield is fully waterproof for showering, swimming and bathing. For longer swims, press the edges down firmly and check the seal is intact before getting in.

Is it comfortable to remove?

Yes. Tape Shield peels off cleanly at the end of wear without damaging the tape underneath or the skin. Remove slowly in the direction of hair growth for the most comfortable experience.
